haha, pretty prosaic. nothing special going on. and here are the clouds that Yingyu requested. haha. i've got two more pics but they're low-res like the others so not much to see, unfortunately.

here you see me a few moments before i fall off. actually this is the point where everyone falls off. haha. at least all of us wall-climbing noobs. there was a girl who stopped halfway but she seemed to be the exception. falling off unexpectedly wasn't too bad at any rate.

one of the highlights has to be the Gems of the World exhibit cuz i'm me. i like looking at all the interesting stuff. new fave colour: pink calcite. dang, never saw such a soft colour before and in a stone no less. there were a lot interesting shapes and i wanted to take photos (forbidden) as they'd make for wonderful vistas with a little bit of imagination and a lot of expansion. the star of the exhibit was this green 3-tonne orb.. it glows in the dark. whoa! looked cool. texture within was nifty too. i think i know what i'll collect as a hobby. hehe.
overall impressions of the place... ok with reservations. if you've limited exposure to theme parks then it's fine. the rides and entertainment spots are ok for a regional destination and the prices reflect this too. however two main criticisms: 1. food tastes bad even while reflecting the higher prices expected at an entertainment destination 2. poor service impressions on the staff. not everyone but just enough to be turned off. hehe, starbucks service was good as usual.
verdict: it's a gambling spot with just enough to entertain the wives and kids... for a day maybe two. more and you'll find sipping coffee and tea at starbucks an appealing idea. haha. to be fair, if we were actually interested in the theme park rides, it'd open up more options but even then..
